  • More than $950,000 was raised for RIC programs.
  • More than 1,400 new participants were served.
  • Athletes were sent to more than 800 competitions.

  • More than 175,000 program visits were provided free of charge.

2003 - Golf Challenge raises $150,000 for RIC Programs:

  • Be a Player (BAP) Trading Cards releases a NHL hockey card on Sylvester Flis
  • Fitness Center develops a "Virtual Tour" for www.richealthfit.org website
  • Cubs Care, Ryne Sandburg and Chicago Park District join in grand opening of new wheelchair softball complex
  • The Chicago Rush Arena Football team allows RIC to use their name for a new wheelchair football team
  • RIC Blackhawks win Dallas, Windsor, Toronto and New England tournaments
  • Program membership reaches 2,500 - Program attendance reaches 27,259

2002 - Golf Challenge raises $120,000 for RIC Programs:

  • Sandy Dukat wins 2 Bronze Medals in Winter Paralympic Alpine events
  • RIC Blackhawks lead Team USA to Gold medal in Paralympic Sled Hockey
  • Sylvester Flis named MVP of 2002 Paralympic Sled Hockey Tournament
  • RIC Cubs win Wheelchair Softball National Championships
  • RIC provides 28,500 program visits free of charge

2001 - Golf Challenge raises $128,000 for RIC Programs:

  • Wirtz Sports Program celebrates 20th anniversary
  • Sandy Dukat is selected to the 2002 Winter Paralympic Ski Team
  • 8 RIC Blackhawks selected to the 2002 Winter Paralympic Team
  • Program membership reaches 2000
  • RIC provides 27,000 program visits free of charge

2000 - Golf Challenge raises a record $155,000 for RIC programs

  • RIC establishes the John Dolan Endowment Fund
  • 7 RIC athletes compete in 4 sports in 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games
  • Program membership reaches 1800
  • RIC provides 26,500 program visits free of charge

1999 John Dolan Golf Challenge raises $140,000 for RIC programs

  • RIC’s Pediatric Free Care Fund receives $30,000 from the proceeds
  • RIC’s Pediatric classroom is dedicated in memory of John Dolan
  • Program membership reaches 1600
  • RIC provides 24,000 program visits free of charge

1998 - John Dolan Golf Challenge joins with the Field’s Classic to raise $100,000

  • RIC’s Pediatric Free Care Fund receives $15,000 from the proceeds
  • RIC athletes hold 14 national/world records
  • Program membership reaches 1300
  • RIC provides 25,000 program visits free of charge

1997 John Dolan Golf Challenge raises $65,000 for RIC programs

  • RIC Cubs place 4th at National Wheelchair Softball Championships
  • Program membership reaches 1100
  • RIC provides 20,000 program visits free of charge

1996 - John Dolan Golf Challenge raises $55,000 for RIC programs

  • 14 RIC athletes compete in 8 sports in 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games
  • RIC’s Center for Health and Fitness opens in November
  • Program membership reaches 800
  • RIC provides 10,200 program visits free of charge

1995 - Inaugural John Dolan Golf Challenge raises $43,000 for RIC programs

  • RIC/Spalding Bulldogs finish 2nd at Junior National Wheelchair Basketball
  • Program membership reaches 700
