Tournament Statistics

The RIC Blackhawk Sled Hockey Team made history by being the first U.S team ever to win the senior division of the annual North America sled hockey tournament sponsored by the Ontario Sledge Hockey Association.

The RIC Blackhawks out scored their opponents 30 to 8 to win five straight games and the tourney 2000 Championship. Sly Flis led RIC with 13 goals and 7 assists. Dave Conklin and Manuel Guerro each had 6 goals with 5 and 2 assists respectfully. Mike Doyle, Patrick Byrne, and Dan Henderson also had goals and assists.

Rookie goal Ramon Canellade was selected Most Valuable Player of the 3-2 championship victory over Kitchener (Canada). The RIC Blackhawks would like to thank Chicago Blackhawks Charities and the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois for their assistance during our first season
