Swimming
The RIC Sharks is a cross-disability competitive
swim team that trains and competes year-round. The program is not a therapeutic
aquatic program or water therapy class. The swim team is for competent
swimmers with a disability; RIC does not teach swimming lessons.
RIC's Wirtz Sports Program supports athletes in local, regional, national,
and international competitions. The swim program's affiliations include:
United States Swimming and its adaptive committee, and the American Swim
Coaches Association.
